Engineering and Design: The Mind Transforming Ideas into Industrial Reality

The success of an industrial facility is decided on digital screens and engineering desks long before the first ground is broken on site. At IPS Makina, we crown our turnkey project expertise with advanced Engineering and Design solutions. We engineer your investments not only to meet today’s operating conditions, but to ensure complete compliance with future agile manufacturing models, energy efficiency benchmarks, and digital automation infrastructures.

Our End-to-End Engineering and Design Process

We manage the foundational engineering phases of your facility through the following rigorous workflow:

1. Site Feasibility Assessment The geographical layout, soil characteristics, logistical access, and environmental factors of the project site are thoroughly evaluated. Essential engineering data is collected at this stage to establish the optimum physical footprint for the plant.

2. Capacity Planning Aligned with the investor's commercial targets and raw material analyses, the plant's daily and annual production capacities are defined. A scalable capacity projection is developed, accounting for future expansions and evolving market dynamics.

3. Process Flow Design The complete journey of the raw material—from intake to final packaging—is engineered. Detailed Process Flow Diagrams (PFD) and Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&ID) covering crushing, screening, calcination, grinding, and material handling are prepared to establish the plant's mechanical and chemical architecture.

4. Machinery and Equipment Selection High-efficiency machinery offering low operational expenditures (OPEX) is selected to match the approved process flow. Capacity balances of critical equipment are calculated to eliminate potential bottlenecks throughout the entire system.

5. Technical Drafting and 3D Modeling The digital twin of the facility is developed using advanced CAD and 3D modeling software. Through comprehensive 3D modeling, potential spatial clashes between structural steel, piping networks, cable trays, and mechanical machinery are resolved prior to manufacturing, driving the error margin down to zero.

6. Plant Layout Development The spatial allocation of production machinery, raw material stockpiles, administrative units, and internal transport routes across the site is finalized. Key design drivers at this stage include occupational health and safety standards, maintenance ergonomics, and minimal material handling distances for logistics optimization.

7. Infrastructure and Utility Systems Engineering Beyond the primary production line, all supporting utility networks feeding the facility—including compressed air piping, water treatment and conditioning units, dust collection, and filtration systems—are fully engineered and seamlessly integrated.

8. Project Engineering Documentation All documentation required for fabrication, erection, and commercial operation is compiled in line with international engineering standards: erection manuals, technical specifications, motor and instrument lists, spare parts catalogs, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
